1. Our Purpose
VECERT Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization committed to advancing cybersecurity through technology, education, research, public benefit initiatives, and threat intelligence.
Our work is guided by a simple belief: Cybersecurity is not a privilege. It is a fundamental right.
Every decision, technology, partnership, and initiative undertaken by VECERT Foundation must reflect this principle.
2. Our Mission
We exist to strengthen digital resilience by making cybersecurity knowledge, technology, education, and defensive capabilities more accessible to individuals, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, healthcare providers, humanitarian organizations, public institutions, and communities around the world.
3. Our Core Ethical Principles
Protect People First. Technology should always serve people. Every action we take must seek to reduce harm, strengthen resilience, and improve digital safety.
Integrity. We conduct our work honestly, independently, and transparently. We never manipulate information or intentionally misrepresent cybersecurity findings.
Independence. Our research, threat intelligence, and recommendations remain independent from political, commercial, or external influence. Decisions are made solely in the public interest and in support of our mission.
Responsibility. Cybersecurity knowledge carries significant responsibility. We develop and share technology in ways that strengthen security and not weaken it.
Respect for Human Rights. We believe digital security supports the protection of privacy, freedom of expression, dignity, and other fundamental human rights. We reject the misuse of cybersecurity technologies to facilitate unlawful surveillance, discrimination, censorship, or oppression.
Education. Knowledge should be shared. We are committed to expanding cybersecurity education and awareness so that individuals and organizations can better protect themselves.
Collaboration. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. We value partnerships with governments, educational institutions, nonprofits, researchers, healthcare organizations, and the private sector to improve collective resilience.
Innovation. Innovation must always be guided by ethics. New technologies should enhance security while respecting privacy, transparency, and accountability.
Transparency. We strive to communicate openly about our work, our programs, our research, and the impact of our initiatives. Transparency builds trust.
Accountability. We hold ourselves accountable for our decisions, our conduct, and the technologies we develop. When mistakes occur, we work to correct them responsibly.
